Assignment 6: Rough drafts for pages (draft 1)

Task:                       Individually, you need to complete a rough draft for each page you are responsible for designing.

You must do this on paper as a sketch. This must be detailed and NOT something you spend 5 minutes on.  It must show titles, subtitles, photos, captions, text/paragraphs, graphics etc.

Extension:  How have you been inspired by other magazine pages?  (using mood boards to show how you were inspired by pages in real magazines (use can use mood boards to help with this)

Task:                       You are to create a PowerPoint which is about showing your development and research
for your 3 possible themes .

You must complete some research on the theme and gain pictures as inspiration.  This is very similar to the mood board task.  You are trying to capture a ‘flavour’ of your theme.

You must decide how you divide up the work but remember to colour code.  Everyone should research at least 2 of the themes.

Extension:  Look at other magazines:  What are their themes? How are they successful? Did they inspire you?
